Petko Yovchev is born in 1955 in Burgas. Graduated from the German Language School in Sofia in 1974 and got a Master Degree in Architecture from University of Architecture, Constructions and Geodesy - Sofia in 1981. He specialized Urbanisation in the same university in 1987, specialized Topmanagement in Danube University – Krems, Austria and General Management in the European Management Centre - Wirtschaftskammer Osterreich Austria.
Yovchev had been Atelier Manager in DF Proectant – Burgas, Chief Architect of the City of Burgas, Chief Architect of Burgas Region, and Chairman of the Union of Architects in Bulgaria – branch Burgas. He is Chairman of the Chamber of Architects in Bulgaria since 2003.
In 1990 Yovchev established the architectural & management company Atika R5 Ltd. At the present he is shareholder and Executive Manager to the company.
Architect Yovchev is member of Rotary Club. He had been President of Burgas Rotary Club and Assistant District Governor as well as Project Leader of Rotary International Matching Grant Programmes for the reconstruction of the Orphanage in Burgas. He is fluent in German, English and Russian.
